  Captain Baba Harbhajan Singh: Guard of the Indian Army In the tough and dangerous Himalayan region, there is a fascinating legend that has become a part of the stories told among the soldiers of the Indian Army. The legend is about Captain Baba Harbhajan Singh, who looks after and protects soldiers serving in the challenging terrain of Sikkim. Captain Baba Harbhajan Singh was born in a small village in Punjab. He joined the Indian Army in 1956 and served as a soldier in the 23rd Punjab Regiment. He was posted at Nathu La Pass, which is known for its difficult weather conditions and difficult terrain. The pass has always been a difficult place for soldiers throughout history. Sadly, while serving at Nathu La Pass, Captain Baba Harbhajan Singh met with an unfortunate accident in 1968. He was leading a group of mules carrying supplies when they had a tragic accident and were drowned in a glacial stream. His body was found a few days later, and he was given a proper military funeral....
